Canada Summer Jobs Program

Employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees can now apply for the Canada Summer Jobs program. The goal of the program is to help create quality summer work opportunities for young people age 15 to 30.

The jobs must be full-time with a minimum of 30 hours/week for at least 6 weeks. The subsidy is up to 50% of the provincial minimum wage. 

The deadline to apply is January 25, 2022. The program plans to subsidize 100,000 jobs so space is limited!

Important Dates:

Applications are due on January 25

  • Funding confirmation will be sent to employers starting in April

  • April 25 is the earliest job start date

  • September 3 is the latest job end date
